You do not pay the reciprocity fee if you cross into Chile by land - I crossed into Chile in numerous entry points without ever paying a fee. The taxi drove us from Tacna, through the border crossing, and dropped us off at the bus station in Arica. He dropped two passengers off at a hostel on the way into town, but we didn't have a destination yet, so he dropped us off at the main terminal. I don't remember how much it cost exactly, but it was pretty cheap: ~20 soles ($7 USD). Let me know if you have any other questions.

Question; Did you pay a reciprocity fee of $131.00 when you crossed in to Chile on land? How much did the driver charge for the taxi ride into Chile? Did one taxi take you all the way from Tacna ,Peru to Arica, Chile or you had to change into connecting taxi as you cross to Chile? Thanks for the help
